I really enjoyed all the sessions of Conference. I starred almost every talk (some with multiple stars) since I need to review them. There was so much wonderful material covered. I am very grateful for revelation through a modern prophet, apostles, and other inspired leaders.

I finished most of my “Conference Center” activity board and love it! The main new attraction is the conversation bubble with two spots for pictures of the topics discussed. I printed 48 topics and 4 matching topic cards (so they stay organized and don’t end up all over the floor).

The map was new, too. Andrew moved the airplane to the continent that was mentioned or to the speaker’s homeland.

The girls took charge of the clock, changing the time every-so-often after a speaker sat down or during a song.

Below the clock, a temple moved from session to session: Saturday morning to afternoon, and for Sunday, too.

I just need to finish the choir section on the right.

The older kids delved into their Conference packets. Adam lasted a long time. During the afternoon sessions, he’d drift over to Andrew and help him with the topics.

Natalie was proud to report not coloring any pictures; just taking notes. I challenged the girls to take good notes so they could teach what they learned in Family Home Evening.

Halfway through Sunday morning’s session Amy exclaimed, “I don’t want it to end!” ( = happy mom)

About that time, Adam complained that Conference had lasted “365 minutes” so I directed him to his “Conference Squares” activity, which he worked on while sitting with me.

I tried this new twist for the Sunday sessions: I labeled six treats with pictures of apostles who hadn’t spoken yet. When they spoke, we opened and enjoyed that treat. It was awesome! I had a labeled cup for each person into which I poured their portion.

Improvement for next time: divide the portions ahead of time = less time away from the talk passing out the treat.

This twist added extra anticipation to wondering who would speak next as well as, “I hope Elder Christofferson speaks soon!” (since he guarded the ultimately prized Gummy Bears -- my first time buying them for the kids).

*This definitely worked best as an exclusive perk for the Sunday sessions.*

Tyler was a wanderer when he was awake. Thankfully, he slept through one session each day. (Notice that he’s standing with both feet in one of my shoes on the right.)

The Souths came over for all the sessions and watched in the basement while we watched upstairs (so we could all pay attention). This worked out really nicely!

In-between the Saturday sessions, the kids rode bikes and scooters outside in the beautiful weather. Eric worked on helping Adam ride without training wheels.

Since Katie (South) Walker sang in the combined choir Saturday afternoon, we got to visit with Katie & Scott, Randy & Karen, Ben & Steve as well as Barney and Gary who went to the Priesthood session with Jon. Katie was a celebrity to my boys since they saw her on TV!

Since Sunday was cold and snowy, we had the kids run laps around the house in-between sessions.

Andrew was really good at switching speaker pictures as well as the person conducting. He surprised me by switching a few topic cards without my prompting.

I tried a new chili recipe, which we ate on baked potatoes for lunch.
