Lund Traditions - Old and New
OK, this was a hard one to capture. I’ve blogged before about our family cheer, but I mention it again because it has felt very unifying lately in such a cool way. After family scriptures and reciting our family motto, we make an L with our hands, point it to the middle and shout “LUUUUUNDS!” (Then we shoot it like a gun in the air and blow off the smoke... Jon’s idea; the kids love that.) Then we have a prayer and give hugs, which usually turn into wrestling.
It is now Adam’s job (our non-reader) to say “And it came to pass” in scripture study. The reader has to point to Adam, he says it, and then reading resumes. But watch out!
We have to introduce Jon to this one since he’s been out of town all week. (I got this one from my visiting teacher.)
If the reader forgets, Adam gets to gently bonk the person on the head!
Warning: this practice may result in hurt feelings or hurt noggins, so you might want to skip that part. But it has sure motivated Adam to pay attention more!
Now for the new....
Andrew dominates
...as always.
