They got Book of Mormon action figures, religious board books, a few candy-filled eggs and a “carrot” full of Cheetos. That was a big hit!

Note to self: I should put less candy in their eggs since they end up with so much sugar by the end of the day!

Our special Easter Egg lesson was a big hit, as always. When we spend so much time emphasizing the real meaning of Easter, I don’t feel bad at all enjoying Pagan traditions like the Easter bunny. The kids woke up to find yarn tied to their beds leading through a maze of chairs to their Easter baskets.

Stake Conference today was really long for the kids, but they did well. Andrew had to be taken out twice, but the first was very brief. (I found a chair in the hallway to sit on, folded his arms--restraining him, which he hates, and asked him if he wanted to go back in and find a book to read. He very willingly quieted down and went back inside. I mean, who wants to sit in a boring hallway folding their arms when they can play with fun things in the pew?) The second time was towards the end, and Jon took him out for good.

I didn’t realize that Truman Madsen is our stake patriarch. He gave a very powerful talk as did our stake presidency.

We stopped by the Williams to drop off little Easter gifts for them. I didn’t realize that Cheetos are a really big deal at their house - one of Cameron’s favorite things. They are such good people. It is sad to see their pain after the loss of their son. Even with the knowledge of the resurrection, the temporal parting is heartbreaking. We love them!

I took pictures of our outing in Bountiful, but left our camera there. I’ll have to post on that later.

Happy Easter!
