We hope your Halloween was grand!

For dinner we ate Yummy Mummies and drank witch’s brew (homemade root beer).

Jon was a scary gorilla and I was a non-scary witch.

We were excited to have John McCain and Sarah Palin pay us a visit!

We tried something new this year with our ward: a hayride around the neighborhood. We stopped at a few key houses for good candy, but mainly enjoyed the perfect weather and the excitement of a Halloween hayride. I offered my lap to Andrew, but he insisted on sitting on the straw - too cute.

The kids were ultra-anxious to start collecting real amounts of candy, so we pounded the pavement for a few hours until my back was giving out from carrying Andrew and the clouds started to share a little rain.

The kids scored some good candy! I love how the girls organize all their candy. They definitely take after their mom!

Jon and I couldn’t find a good place to stash all the goods (where the kids wouldn’t raid it in the morning before breakfast). No place was really out of reach, and the older kids can open our child locks now, so we resorted to the van and locked the doors. (I got a kick out of that.)

Iron Man is my favorite.

(Jon made that one).
