My idea was to do a 24-days of Christmas-type activity. Each morning in December you have a short lesson about Christ. Then the kids hang an ornament or two relating to what you talked about. I didn’t finish all of my lessons, but made great progress on the ornaments as well as sketches, at least, for the discussion topics.

The kids were super excited about this special (3’) tree and the ornaments.

I’m looking forward to completing it and expanding on it!

To make the picture ornaments:

I cut pieces of black foam, punched 2 holes in the top, strung silver ribbon through them, and mounted the pictures (from Deseret Book) on top using Mod Podge. I also used the Mod Podge to glaze over and seal all sides of the ornaments. I love how they turned out!
