Andrew intently watched General Conference... for about 30 more seconds.

Natalie and I watched the first session on my computer in the hallway while Andrew napped. Amy and Adam played upstairs (which is fine for Saturday), but Natalie remarked, “Mom, I just want to learn about Jesus.” She stayed with me the whole time doing her Bingo game!

After Conference, (by which I felt truly inspired), the kids begged to decorate for Halloween. They quickly and energetically cleaned the whole house, and then helped me decide where to hang up all the decor.

I LOVE MY CHILDREN!

I spread out blankets on the floor downstairs for the second session. I didn’t have to beg, chase down, or even ask the kids to stay with me. They just did. It really felt dreamy -- like how I’ve always wanted it to be.

The girls did their Bingo on the couch...

while Adam flipped through his dinosaur book and Andrew wrestled everyone. They all stayed in the room for the whole 2 hours!

Adam had all sorts of personal applications. When President Hinckley released D. Rex Gerrat from the Seventy, Adam exclaimed, “He said, ‘T-Rex,’ just like Tyrannosaurus Rex!”

When President Packer mentioned leaders, Adam enthusiastically brought up the “leader” of the transformers - Optimus Prime.

And when I said, “Shh! Adam, I’m trying to listen to the apostle” he replied, “Hey! Dinosaurs have fossils!”
